It wasn't a drastic change at all, it's the same phone via and thru, but there are some good improvements Apple and Verizon made.
The 4G LTE community is amazingly quick in comparison to the previous 3G network. Nevertheless, upgrading to the 5 forfeits your limitless data. This is my biggest qualm, because now I'm all the time searching for WiFi so I do not exceed my 2 gigabytes a month. It hasn't been an enormous drawback, it's simply annoying.
